Ethiopian Troops Pull out Balad District

Balad,(insidesomalia.org)-The Ethiopian troops in the recent times based in Balad neighborhood of middle Shabelle region south of Somalia have pulled out there later on Thursday-eyewitnesses said.

Some eyewitnesses confirmed that the soldiers with dozens of armed vehicles have headed off towards Afgoi district of: Lower Shabelle region.

The withdrawn soldiers have in the beginning pulled out from Jowhat town 30km north of Mogadishu following they left there later than the Islamic courts union fighters have ousted the administration of middle Shabelle region from their administrational locations.

Balad residents declared that they could see the Ethiopian troops have packed up and withdrawn from the main viaduct of Balad where they have previously based.

The residents have initially expressed concern on the presence of the Ethiopian troops in their locale fearing that the Anti-Gov and the Ethiopian troops fighters in Somalia to invade the Ethiopian troops where a new battle might start.
